Cool Roof Research Workshop: A Success!

Earlier this year, the Building Envelope and Windows R&D Program Blog updated you on the Workshop titled "Advances in Cool Roof Research: Protocols, Standards & Policies for Accelerated Aging" that took place in Berkeley, California this past July 28-29. Good news! The event was a success, thanks to the efforts of the Heat Island Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Concordia University and the U.S. Department of Energy.

The Environmental Energy Technologies Division at LBNL has posted a new article concerning the event, complete with links to the workshop schedule and presentations. The article you linked to is fairly informative, but a criticism if I may: it's quite academic (obviously written for a researcher) and not easily understood by people with a layman's understanding of cool roof research. Any chance you could make some introductory post on the subject (or recommend a good source)? Cheers.
