This Friday, September 23 marks the opening of the DOE Solar Decathlon 2011, a competition that challenges collegiate teams to design, build, and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive.
In addition to touring these amazing homes for yourself, the public can take part in the Solar Decathlon workshops - a broad range of presentations, including a talk on the latest in Building Envelope R&D. Be sure to check it out! Read more about the workshop summaries online, at the Solar Decathlon homepage. All workshop presentations will take place in the large Main Tent of the Solar Village, at the south end next to both the shuttle stop and the south Welcome tent.
