If you're planning on attending The Adhesive and Sealant Council's 2012 Adhesive & Sealant Convention, you'll want to catch The Department of Energy's closing session at the Grand Hyatt Denver in Denver, Colorado on April 17 (the show itself will run from April 15-17). The presentation is titled "U.S. DOE Building Envelope R&D Activity and Opportunities for the Adhesive and Sealant Industry" and will provide an overview of the latest DOE research related to building envelope systems, as well as information on energy savings from reduced air infiltration and the program's relationship with the adhesive and sealant industry.
Expect an interactive session: DOE's goal is to reduce energy consumption from the buildings sector by 50% by 2030 - this would require unprecedented retrofits with air sealing and window upgrades playing a leading role. Make sure you're in attendance!
Update: The presentation has been updated below.
