A new version of the EERE Identity and Design Guidelines is now available on the EERE Communication Standards website.
A consistent approach to communications products helps to ensure that EERE is viewed as a primary, authoritative source of information about renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. The EERE Identity and Design Guidelines include guidance and requirements on the use of colors, fonts, visual identifiers, logos, and other aspects of EERE information products.
The updated version reflects some changes:
- Template Updates: EERE has started updating its publication templates. Offices are encouraged to use the various templates EERE offers. If you are not using an EERE template, please coordinate your exceptions with the Product Governance Team. The newly updated templates include a design layer with formatting tips. Even if you do not have Adobe InDesign, you can use the design layer PDF files as a reference for how to format your document using another publishing tool.
- Fact Sheet Header: The fact sheet header should list the topic of your fact-sheet instead of the office name.
- Removal of the Printing Statement: The printing statement is no longer required on EERE products, and we've removed it from the Identity and Design Guidelines.
If you have any questions regarding the Identity and Design Guidelines feel free to contact EERE Communications.
