As those of you who write content for the Web are aware, the EERE Web site has standards for how we link to PDFs. And while there are a few different ways to do it, our standards require two basic things: That you include the size of the PDF, and that you give users a link to "Download Adobe Reader."

Adobe has changed the URL for the "Download Adobe Reader" page. The old address redirects to the new one, so you do not need to update your old links—they will all continue to work properly. However, all content writers and developers on EERE should now use this address for all new content. You should also update this address whenever you review older pages:

http://get.adobe.com/reader/

You can see the complete PDF linking standards at our Linking to PDFs page on Communication Standards.
