The question of what to do with older content has recently come up, and we'd like the feedback of the EERE Web community.
Should EERE have a policy or best practice that says "no Web site content that is more than X number of years old"?
One suggestion is to check statistics to see if the content is being used. If yes, then the content should be kept on the public Web site. If no, then the content should be archived and the contact information of the archive maintainer should be posted for anyone who might need that older content.
Is this a good solution? Should content that is X number of years old be considered for archiving? If so, how old should content be before it goes through this evaluation process?
