Thanks to all who participated in the EERE Web Project Management webinar in February. We had a great turnout and a great discussion about EERE Web site process and approvals.
Just a reminder of some of the main components of our project management standards:
- A charter must now be submitted for all new Web sites and redesigns
- All sites will go into one of the approved EERE Templates and the RedDot Content Management System unless otherwise authorized. In some instances we have worked with programs to customize an EERE template to address specific audiences and navigation concerns. It helps if you bring your navigation/audience concerns to us early so we can help design a site that meets your needs.
- All sites must have a maintenance plan on file with the EERE Web Manager, after they are launched.
The full Process and Approvals page outlines all of the steps in managing EERE Web projects. The PowerPoint presentation, with links to the many resources discussed, is also available at the top of that page.
The audio and a transcript of the webinar will also be available on the Process and Approvals page soon. Please share this training with anyone who couldn't attend and with any new employees or contractors who need to get up to speed on our process.
