Have you ever wanted to run a customer survey on your Web site? You probably know that OMB approval is required for certain types of surveys. But when is that approval required? How do you apply for approval? And who can you talk to if you have questions about the process?
We've added a new section about online surveys to the Communication Standards site that describes the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval process. All federal agencies, including EERE and any contractors who work on behalf of EERE, are required to apply for OMB approval before conducting surveys of the general public that target more than 10 people.
The new Survey Approval Process Web page describes all of the ins and outs of this process: When you need to get approval and when you don't, who to contact with your questions, and what you have to do to get approval.
