Economic Crisis we must save on electricity and fuel.
Every home has an oil furnace for heating the water as well as homes.
Why cant we use the same heat for humidifying our homes?
Cooking on simmering water from that heating?
Washing Machies and dryers take hours why not make flexible,adjustable washing machines instead?
Hang the dirty clothes on hangers.
Adjust the machine and run to wash the clothes.
Dry them in half or less time then the present washing machines.
The heavy metal or plastic used can be saved too for other purposes.
The cylindrical tube be water proof and adjusted to desired needs to save on time and energy.
No tumble washing and drying that takes hours.
Hobs and ovens.
Should be adjustable so no waste of electricity is there.
Like we can use the steam method.
on one slow burner I can cook 4 dishes that too on low.
Why cant the Government modify the method to a modern appliance with timer for ON and OFF.
Five containers.
Bottom one with simmering water
The rest 4 with lids stacked one on top of other.
Slide these in a steam proof container with a vent to let the steam out.
The food ie 4 dishes cooked in 30 minutes or even less time on very low simmering water.

I have concerns about carbon sequestering. Why are we paying farmers to take care of the land their forefathers abused when they should be doing this anyway? Seems that distributing carbon credits is just another market for monies, which normally would be a good thing. However, individuals and especially industries should be required to limit pollutions. I just do not agree with paying them to do it whith our tax dollars when more could be used for local and state environmental programs.
In addition, when are construction companies and private contractors going to be held more respondible for erosional problems they leave behind?

Dept. of Energy was founded in 1977 by the Carter administration. What was accomplished since then? Current budget for the DOE is $26.4 billion and in the last 32 years has escalated endlessly. Where are we going? Looks to me like a bottomless pit for money.

My biggest energy concern is that the Waxman-Markey climate change bill won't make it through Congress. That should be everyone's main concern this summer, because the future of our civilization may depend on it ... not to mention the fate of thousands of species.

I live in Florida, and my electric bill is always higher in the summer because my AC unit runs 24/7. I not concerned; however, I had a whole home energy management system installed in my house that reduces my kwh consumption. I am thrilled.
