GWCC Receives Funding for Lighting Project

The Georgia World Congress Center recently got a $2.3 million stimulus grant for a major lighting retrofit and controls system upgrade. The grant, secured through the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority and its state energy program, was funded through the U.S. Department of Energy as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Grantee Question: A grantee from Florida asks: Our city is preparing a policy for setting A/C and heating temperatures in City-owned facilities. This policy will say, “A/C occupied temperatures shall not be less than 78 °F and heating not more than 68 °F.
