If you are a municipality who received ARRA funding and are interested in learning more about lighting technologies, here is a very low cost event for you! This day long workshop will highlight the latest in lighting strategies, tools available to evaluate potential lighting projects, and how to work with utilities to further develop programs and policies. It will be a place where you can showcase your best project, gain assistance on implementing your plans, while simultaneously networking with your peers.

On July 27, 2011 the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, your source on energy efficiency, has planned a workshop for municipalities in Missouri and surrounding states (MO and including IL, IA, NE, KS, and AR) who received ARRA State Energy Program (SEP) and Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grants (EECBG) funds. The event will be held at the EarthWays Center in the Missouri Botanical Garden, located in beautiful St. Louis, MO. The DOE TAP Advanced Lighting Workshop will provide opportunities for ARRA Grantees to gain the latest knowledge in lighting technologies from national experts while discovering best practices form other local governments. Break out session topics will include:

• Efficient municipal lighting technologies
• Case studies of regional lighting projects
• Guidance for choosing sensible projects and specifying lighting products
• Creating lighting orientated utility-municipal partnership projects

Networking opportunities are planned throughout the day and following the event. Prior to the start of the workshop, technical subject matter experts will be available to assist municipalities with planning and implementation questions on lighting and other subjects. EECBG funding can be used to reimburse the travel expenses without grant modification – confirm the details with your DOE Project Officer.

We have a limited capacity for attendees of 50 seats, so please click below to guarantee yourself a spot!
