Mr. Karl Berntson is a senior professional with over 35 years of experience in the energy industry. For the last 10 years he has developed and managed energy savings performance contracting for state and local governments, with demonstrated success in selling and implementing ESPC projects for Maryland, saving the state over $190 million in energy expenditures.
Mr. Douglas Dahle is a Principal Program Manager at the DOE’s renowned National Renewable Energy Laboratory. For nearly a quarter of a century, Mr. Dahle has been providing advice, consultation and technical policy support to the DOE's Office of Federal Energy Management Programs (FEMP). His key expertise is in assisting government organizations with the implementation of ESPCs and other innovative financing mechanisms for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
Mr. David McGeown has over 25 years experience in the facility management field, working on international projects from Hong Kong to Los Angeles, and specializing in energy and related technologies. His experience in managing the execution of Energy Saving Performance Contracts has been applied to reduce average time to award and to secure better value for his government clients. He is a recognized expert in measurement and verification of savings.
Ms. Linda Smith has spent 20 years focusing on ESPC and 26 years in energy efficiency in buildings. Ms. Smith formerly worked with the Energy Services Coalition (ESC), and was a Senior Program Manager at the Colorado Governor’s Energy Office for over 17 years, where she designed, developed and led a performance contracting program that achieved over $200 million in performance contracting projects and market acceptance of this approach in the state.
