Developing Low-Interest Retrofit Loan Programs for the Multifamily Sector

Description: On this webinar analysts will discuss creating low-interest loan programs for the multifamily affordable housing sector. The presentation will cover several models for multifamily weatherization programs. These include a ratepayer funded on-bill repayment program offered jointly by the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Authority (NJHMFA) and PSE&G, a complementary ARRA-funded pilot program developed by the NJHMFA designed to reach low-income properties, and the low-interest loan pilot program offered by Enterprise Community Partners, a CDFI working nationally to serve borrowers investing in affordable housing. Additionally, information will be provided about selecting auditing firms and contractors, marketing a multifamily program to property owners, and verifying that energy savings and benefits are passed on to tenants.
