A company that specializes in converting whey permeates into ethanol and dry yeast is building a new plant in Clark County. DuBay Biofuel announced it has been awarded a $1.9 million loan from the State Energy Program to build the processing facility in Greenwood. The new facilities in Greenwood would serve as the headquarters for the company. Meanwhile, the project is expected to create about 30 new jobs in the area; and will produce three million pounds of dry yeast and three million gallons of ethanol a year.
